A stunning spot with breathtaking views of Positano and incredible food. We were happy to wait for a table near the balcony, and it was absolutely worth it. The seafood pasta was delicious, generously portioned, and made with fresh seafood. Highly recommend stopping by!

I recently had the pleasure of tasting what I can confidently say is the best fish pasta I've ever encountered. This dish, from a hidden gem of a restaurant, was an absolute revelation.

From the first bite, the harmony of flavors was unmistakable. The pasta was cooked to al dente perfection, providing just the right texture to complement the delicate, fresh fish. The seafood, a mix of succulent cod and shrimp, was cooked just right, ensuring each piece was tender and bursting with flavor without being overdone.

The sauce was where this dish truly shone. A light yet rich tomato base, infused with garlic, white wine, and a hint of chili, enveloped every strand of pasta. It wasn't just the ingredients but how they were balanced; the acidity of the tomatoes was perfectly offset by the creaminess of a touch of butter, creating a sauce that was both vibrant and comforting.

Adding to this culinary masterpiece were the herbs - fresh basil and parsley - which added not just color but a layer of aromatic freshness that lifted the entire dish. The subtle use of lemon zest provided a zesty note that cut through the richness, making each forkful a delight.

What made this pasta exceptional was its simplicity. There was no need for exotic ingredients or complex techniques; every component was allowed to shine, resulting in a dish that was both sophisticated and comforting.

If you're ever in the area, this fish pasta is not just a meal, it's an experience. It's a testament to what Italian cuisine can achieve when simplicity meets passion in the kitchen. Five stars simply aren't enough for this culinary delight.

While waiting to use the toilet; I was able  to ask the bartender/barista some questions about the menu and cocktails.  Obviously the place was busy but he didn't rush me away or seem to be annoyed. Just a great place with a great staff.

This restaurant deserves better reviews that it currently has. The location is spectacular, especially their outdoor deck. It has a charming style and the food is very satisfying, the oysters were fresh

Disaster at the Café Positano

I recently had the misfortune of dining at what can only be described as the culinary equivalent of a dumpster fire, the so-called "Café Positano."

First off, the ambiance screamed "I give up." The decor seemed like it was last updated during the Renaissance, but not in a good way. The walls were adorned with peeling posters of Italy, making you wonder if you were in a restaurant or a forgotten subway station.

The service was so slow it felt like I was waiting for pasta made from wheat that hadn’t even been planted yet. Our waiter looked like he'd rather be anywhere else, and his attitude confirmed it. When our food finally arrived, it was a travesty. The spaghetti was so overcooked it could have been used as a weapon, and the sauce? It tasted like they used the bottom of the tomato can mixed with despair.

The pizza was a sad, soggy mess. I've had better from a frozen aisle at a discount store. And don't even get me started on the garlic bread - it was as if they toasted it with an iron from the 70s.

For dessert, we tried the tiramisu, which was more like "tira-misery." It was dry, flavorless, and seemed to have been assembled by someone with no love for food or humanity.

To top it all off, the bill was outrageously priced for such an abysmal experience. I left Café Positano with less money, less faith in humanity, and a vow never to return. Avoid this place like you'd avoid the plague.

**Rating: One sad, overcooked noodle out of five.**
