I recently stayed in a King Deluxe Room with a Sea View and I was blown away by the stunning view of the coast from my room. The room was extremely comfortable and clean, and the hospitality provided by the staff was exceptional. I would like to give a special shoutout to the manager, Angela, who went above and beyond to ensure that guests were happy and satisfied with their stay. She truly made things right for us as promised. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a luxurious and comfortable stay in Naples with exceptional views and hospitality.

Amazing comfortable 5 star hotel.
Great welcoming staff.  Super helpful and accommodating.  A true oasis in the city.  The rooms are quiet and comfortable. And the bed  and pillows are amazing.
The rooftop restaurant for breakfast or dinner is spectacular!!
Worth the splurge after exhausting travel.

This is the most wonderful hotel! I died and went to heaven. The service was above and beyond. The room felt luxurious. The pillows were fluffy, the bed super comfortable. It was perfect even down to the toiletries. We also truly enjoyed our dining experience. Our meal was creative and delicious. No detail is missed here.
We were even sent with breakfast boxes because we had to leave for the airport before breakfast started. Absolutely fabulous stay!

For the price, roughly 400 EU per night, my experience fell short of expectations.

Below are a few observations that I made.

LINENS
The linens need an upgrade.  They felt abrasive, like sandpaper, and lacked the soft fabric texture that I prefer.

COMMUNICATION
The hotel agents failed to inform me of their amazing rooftop experience.  The rooftop view, bar, and restaurant are a 4.5 / 5 and the best part of any stay.  It’s disappointing that there was no communication from staff regarding the above, and I only discovered them accidentally on my second of two nights when I heard a fireworks show over the harbor, of which again no one informed me.

DINING
For 100 EU, I enjoyed an amazing steak, glass of Scotch, and wonderful service at the rooftop restaurant. However, the hotel is far removed from the heart of Napoli, where the richest dining options and most reasonable shopping lay.  Short of paying for a high end meal or a 40 EU taxi round trip somewhere else, De Bonart Naples is a food dessert, limited to high restaurants and ridiculously priced minibars (I.e., 8 EU for a Coca Cola that could be bought for 1 EU elsewhere).  When you inflate prices to this level no one will buy anything from you.

HILTON HONORS
I probably would have felt differently about my dining (see above) if the hotel had asked me of my Hilton Honors status and informed me of the free breakfast that my status entitled me, however, sadly that never happened.

POOL
I found it odd that the small rooftop pool was closed at noon and required a reservation through the front desk to gain access.

LAUNDRY / MISC
There was no effort to inform me of incidental services, such as laundry and replacement of personal items like toothpaste, which are critical for any traveler.

LOCATION
The location is a mixed bag.  The views from the rooftop are exquisite.  But as outlined above, the hotel is very remote from reasonable shopping, dining, and touring.

SUMMARY
I rate this hotel as a 3/5 overall, but it has great upside if they address the above shortcomings.  The staff was generally very pleasant, but more work needs to be done to proactively anticipate and meet guest needs, rather than simply reacting to customer complaints.  … Better communication regarding hotel amenities, Hilton Honors benefits, and local events would go a long way toward raising my rating to 4+ / 5.

I hope this rating helps all with their travels to Napoli, which I found to be a lovely town full of flavorful culture, rich history, and natural beauty.

Check-in was extremely difficult and the front desk manager refused to accept my residency card as proof of ID, which has never happened before in any EU country. Although an upgrade was available, it was not offered. I had to argue with the front desk manager to receive the upgrade, and it took a long time. Overall, very difficult checkin and rude attitude from everyone at the front desk. Very strange experience.

There was nothing special about the hotel, food, drinks, or service. The shower in the room was small and had an accordion door which was quite strange to see in a “5 star” hotel. I know it’s a curio collection but still…

I stayed at the Grand Parker in Naples last year and thought it was much better in terms of service. I would not stay at the DeBonart again.
