First time in Italy and this has been the worst food experience. The food taste like it was a microwave meal, service takes forever, and they tried charging us double for the cover charge. When we brought up the mistake in the tab they took forever to bring back the check. I understand Italian service is different, but this was ridiculous. We had to look for the server to ask for the correct check multiple times and they acted as if we never corrected them in the first place. Do not recommend at all. The one nice thing about is place is the view of the church.

The food is really terrible. 40€ for seafood pasta. The portion was extremely little and the quality horrible. 16€ for a cesar salad and it was really just some boiled chicken with no Cesare Dressing.

I would not recommend eating here.
Overpriced and low quality. Tourist trap!

Do not come here! This is a convent location, but if you eat here, not only will you be paying outrageous prices but you will be sacrificing your life.

After drinking the fresh squeezed orange juice my cousin points out maggots in her cup. We come to realized we had all ingested maggots. After discussing this with other guests who also found maggots in juice, we speak with the server. First he tries to convince us the bugs were pulp. After he saw the bugs moving he speaks to the manager. The server comes back and says “it’s oranges what do you expect”. This is unacceptable. We demanded they remove the infected oranges and they just handed us our bill. They do not care about your health and safety.

I only came here to get a caramel ice cream, but Bar Francese seems like a great desert spot in Amalfi from what I saw. They have a huge selection of ice creams, pastries, coffees, cakes, and other deserts. They also were very accommodating for those with food allergies. The caramel ice cream was really good. I give this place my  recommendation.

We absolutely loved our evening here. We went before sunset and over the course of our meal we had beautiful breathtaking view of the street. Absolutely enjoyed our dinner, salad, dessert,  and bottle of wine.  Server's are great and attentive.  If I'm ever back, I will go again.
