We had the best experience with our booking. I called reception after a hectic morning asking if there was any rooms Etc after our original plans failed. The individual working was so warm, kind and professional and straight away we knew The Dean would be a welcoming place to sit back, relax and rest after things didn’t go exactly to plan. They absolutely went above and beyond for us to ensure we would feel happy & enjoy. The manner we were met with as soon as we arrived to the hotel reflected this too. I will thank the staff member we dealt with again directly, but thought it would be worthwhile to have other visitors know, this hotel is well worth a visit - welcoming, warm, looks great, comfy and the perfect location to be close to all amenities. This certainly won’t be our last time to visit here!!

Stayed in room 408 this Friday. First impressions are good, the hotel is ten mins from everything, people at the desk were friendly and chatty as my partner checked in. The room itself was huge, as was the bathroom - all great so far.
Come about 11pm, just as we were turning in, it became immediately obvious our room was right above the smoking area of a nightclub. Until 4am, every song, every shout into the mic from the DJ reverberated through the wall. The cheap foam earplugs by the bed, in retrospect an ominous sign of what was to come, did nothing.  So keyed up by this frustrating situation, I got zero sleep my entire stay in the hotel, surely the main purpose for any stay. This completely undermined and took from any positives I had thus far. So much for my planned swim in the pool that morning, I was so wrecked and frustrated, we handed in our key and just left without complaining just to be gone. Having seen other reviews on this page, it's clearly a well known problem. I've stayed in hotels on busy streets before, this was on a whole other level. I'm told there's smaller rooms in the townhouse that are quieter, I don't see why I can't pay for what is classed as a superior room and as a bare minimum, expect and enjoy a nights uninterrupted sleep in it. Absolute joke and took all the good from our trip to Dublin.

Good location, but they focused more on style than substance. Poor cleaning, the hallways always had some sort of supplies in them, and the sewage smell was strong throughout our stay (not just in our rooms). They also never refilled coffee/cup supplies, towels, etc. However, the hotel was cool and decorated well. If you care about cleanliness, maybe this place isn’t your cup of tea. It was quiet though!

We had an unforgettable weekend stay at The Dean Hotel in Dublin to celebrate our 40th birthday with two other couples, and it couldn't have been better! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel incredibly special, surprising us with upgraded rooms that were stylish, comfortable, and full of quirky details that really set this hotel apart. The highlight was definitely the rooftop bar and restaurant. Where we enjoyed complimentary drinks Saturday night while soaking in the stunning views of the city and great food on the Sunday afternoon. The atmosphere was vibrant yet relaxed— perfect for a birthday celebration. Made use of the hydro pool on both days, and it was especially a god send on the Sunday, where it helped nurse a sore head! Highly recommend The Dean for a unique, memorable stay in Dublin!

+ The hotel is at walking distance from the city center and main attractions.

- The hotel is neighbor to a nightclub, literally next door. If you express a desire to sleep before 3am, you are re-booked in the adjacent townhouse, which is supposed to be more quite (unfortunately in my case the occupants of the room next to mine had a big party until 4.30am, despite the manager’s numerous interventions). Although the townhouse is very charming, it absolutely does not equal the level of service and equipments that you expect from the 4 stars hotel that you paid for when booking.
