We got 15+ dishes and liked most of them. The wine recommendations were great. However, we didn't feel there were any standout dishes or major reasons to tell friends to go eat there - especially given the price.

We embarked on a unique journey featuring diverse Icelandic cuisine. Our experience began at the entrance with a couple of amuse-bouches before we headed upstairs to the waiting lounge, where we enjoyed drinks and three exquisite appetizers.

Afterward, we moved to our table, and the food started to arrive. In total, we experienced more than 15 courses, and we enjoyed every one of them. Our favorites were definitely the goose ragu and goose breast.

Although the food was excellent, we were expecting a better wine pairing after requesting suggestions. Overall, it was a fantastic experience that lasted a little over four hours, and I can say it was definitely worth the value. I recommend making a reservation well in advance before visiting Iceland.

Michelin star restaurant offering fine dining with a fixed menu where we enjoyed learning more about Iceland through a fun dining experience with very friendly staff, however, it was quite expensive. Some of the dishes were possibly the best seafood/pork belly I have ever had but some other dishes were disappointing. I'm afraid they have fallen victim to the trope of fine dining that they have gotten too cute with it. Additionally, after spending so much money on dinner it was frustrating to leave still hungry. Overall, we enjoyed our evening here but I would recommend other places before Dill.

I visited Dill on my second day in Iceland before starting my trip around the country. I try to dine at one Michelin-starred restaurant in every country I visit to experience the pinnacle of fine dining, and Dill truly set a high bar. The sommelier was great—he was from France and very knowledgeable. The servers all knew the dishes very well and even provided instructions on how to eat them, whether with your hands, a spoon, or a fork and knife. I’ve been to Michelin restaurants that don’t do this, and I often feel lost wondering how to enjoy the meal properly. My favorite dishes were the Pork Belly and the Cod. I also chose the wine pairing, which I highly recommend. I was quite tipsy by the end, so don’t plan on driving afterward!

We ended our Icelandic adventure with a dinner at Dill. We had a wonderful experience from the moment we walked into the restaurant. The service was excellent, we interacted with most of the staff over the course of the experience. The restaurant is intimate with a wonderful atmosphere. The pre-selected food course was an adventure from the start to the end. Each course was creative and fun with exciting presentations and items that reflect the culture and history of Iceland. It was a great way to finish our trip and is a meal we will remember for a long time.
