This was the perfect place for a tasty meal of soups  salads and pizza ...  after a 4 hour excursion to Langjökull where we saw and admired the glaciet's Ice cave.

The service was professional and we really enjoyed our meal.  👍

We didn't notice the menu before so we had the overpriced buffet. The buffet is literally salad bar with one option of main course which in our case it was chicken in creamy sauce. The tomato soup was more like a sause for spaghetti and the bread was not hard. They even tried to charge us for coffee!

I hope the a la carte menu (that they didn't suggest) has better quality!

Nice buffet with significant Icelandic flare.   Other choices, but we came through on a cruise excursion, so everything was pre- selected.

Great selection of fresh food , and great quality.
The staff can not do enough for you , they are great.

"Babe, I'm gettin' a... woss the word I'm lookin' for...?" my ol' Dutch said to me as we sat in the restaurant with our meals.
"Headache?" I suggested.
"Nope."
"Feeling of deja vu all over again?"
"Nah."
"Hot flush?"
"Vibe," she said. "A good vibe. From this place."
"Oh?" I said. "And why might that be, my little chocolate éclair?"
"It's coz this place is called the Husafell Bistro and Husafell is an anagram of 'safe hull,' like as if it was a boat."
"It's not a boat, though, is it?"
"No, but if it was."
"But it's not."
"But if it was."
"It's not, though. "
"If it was, though."

"If it was."
"All right, all right. What about 'Bistro'? How does that fit in with your 'good vibe anagram' theory?"
"Orbits. Bistro's an anagram of 'orbits'. See? It fits in."
"Orbits? What, like a satellite?"
"Yes."
