Amazing! Wonderful experience in a remote, quiet location. The pools were great after a winter walk or day driving around to see the sights.
The beds were super comfortable and rooms cozy and well decorated. Not huge, but just enough.

The service teams were attentive and super helpful for sights around the area.

The only downfall of being so remote is there are no food options. So, you will be stuck eating at the hotel restaurant for dinner. It is delicious, but expensive.

There were some families there but I wouldn’t recommend any younger than 7.  There isn’t much to do and there are a lot of couples.

We stayed right after the holidays and were treated to the northern lights on one of our nights.
The best part, is the front desk will call you to wake up if there is a sighting. A great alternative to spending hours on a tour trying to track them down or waiting up all night on your own.

We stayed at Hotel Husafell for one night on December 21st. We loved this hotel:

- The staff was very welcoming.
- It was convenient to have a good dinner on the premises.
- We participated in the Husafell Canyon Baths activity right at the hotel, which was an intimate and unique experience.
- We saw the northern lights around 10:30 PM even though they weren't even forecasted that night (a wake-up call helped because we were sleeping).

We'd love to come back here in the summer to explore different things.

This was my favorite hotel I have ever stayed in. It was very clean, and wonderfully designed.  The staff were incredibly helpful! The food at the restaurant was delicious! The location is beautifully secluded, but it is also near the glacier, the lava cave, beautiful waterfalls, and hiking trails. I highly recommend this hotel!!!

The standout feature of the Hotel Husafell is its amazing restaurant. The dinner service here was fantastic, serving creative dishes that incorporate Icelandic ingredients alongside Asian influences.

The chef here understands the potential of food to be a canvas for memories and dreams but does so while staying true to the culinary traditions and flavors of his influences. Many of the dishes were so inviting that I forgot to take a photograph before devouring them. Pictured in this review is the "Southland Tales" pork belly dish and the "Autumn Treasures" Bolete mushroom ice cream dessert, which were both outstanding. The scallops, lamb, mushroom dumplings, and Hojicha ice cream were all delicious as well.

Aside from the food, the wait staff were quick, accommodating, and professional. The restaurant has a beautiful view of the landscape and sunset, and the hotel is well situated for viewing the northern lights as there are vast dark areas nearby.

The rooms were clean and comfortable with a nice shower. Not astounding by any sense but nice for a somewhat rural/remote location. Several day activities are available nearby, some of which can be booked through the front desk.

Our stay at Hotel Husafell was magical. Nestled in the heart of nature, the location is absolutely stunning, with easy access to incredible sites like the Vidgelmir lava cave and Husafell Canyon Baths. The hotel blends luxury with a warm, inviting atmosphere, and we loved how eco-conscious they are. The staff was incredibly friendly and made sure we felt at home. The on-site restaurant was excellent, offering a delicious farm-to-table dining experience. We can't wait to return!
