Tasty traditional French bistro food in a nice restaurant named after a famous French writer of fables, pictures of which adorn the walls. I had a yummy leek and ham tart to start, followed by a nice roast chicken and our desserts, apricot clafoutis and peach tart, were absolutely delicious. Was reasonably good value too - 100 euros for two of us (three courses each and one glass of wine) and the portions were generous.

Quite simply, I was invited to a small restaurant by the road.  So fresh, so ordinary that it's not normal.  The restaurant was filled to the brim with people.  The smell of the dishes hung in the air.  The simplicity of the dishes and their presentation are simply Michelle's stars...🌟🌟🌟⭐✨👌👌👌👌👌

This restaurant cannot decide if it wants a homey local French vibe, or a French fine dining vibe. Simply conceived and put-together dishes imply the former, while the small portions and sparse visual presentation the latter. The result is a confusing experience, where the portions are too small to be hearty and homey and the food is not good or inspired enough to be fancy.
Additionally, the bread basket was hard and basic. They didn't bring olive oil, balsamic, salt or pepper. When we asked for olive oil and balsamic for the bread, they only brought it after we had finished the bread basket, and even then balsamic only. So the service wasn't too great either.
All the desserts were very tasty, especially the peach one.
I don't recommend this restaurant, neither would I go back, but it would do in a pinch I suppose...

Spotted this place as we were exploring LaTurbie. Popped in for dinner. In a nutshell, service was great, Menu has a limited choice but this is not a bad thing. The steak was excellent as was the poached pear and caramel ice cream. I would definitely return.  2 steak dinners, desert, beer and wine about 80 to 90 euros.

Oh my God, the food was AMAZING!!!! Everything was carefully cooked, the flavors mixed together really well, what can I say, I highly recommend it!
