La Galinette is conveniently located at 23 Rue Jean Payra, making it easily accessible for both locals and tourists. The restaurant is situated near several notable attractions in Perpignan, including the historic Palace of the Kings of Majorca and the vibrant Place de la République. Good value for the price, we took an 8 tasty meal for 65 euros, most of the dishes were good, the place is very small, there is a staff of three waiters- a lovely girl, another guy with glasses and a very nice neck tattoo but what ruined the experience is the third waiter, the only English speaker.  Shocking attitude spoke in contempt of an eyeball.  In conclusion, an experience that will not be repeated.

This is a chefs tasting menu, you choose between the number of course. It was a Wonderful experience, all the food was great and so was the service. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Reasonable price for how great the food is. Really beautiful meal.

This was a very good dinner. At first you need to choice between two numbers of dishes: 6 or 8. This choices have two different prices. After that, you just need to be guided by the chef with his selection of flavours and tastes. That result is near the perfection showing the great skill of the chef. Unique subjective exception is about the picanha, which seemed not so tender. Service and professionality of the staff was good also. Right price considering the restaurant and the quality.

We had their lunch menu if the day. I'll definitely recommend eating at La Galinette. This was our most delicious lunch of our vacation. There is a paid parking lot next to La Galinette. The parking lot is outside and is quite full, but after waiting a few minutes there should be a spot open due to the high turnover rate. They do however speak English only in a limited capacity, but luckily the food speaks for itself.

This is NOT a Michelin star restaurant!
Whatever people may say about the food and prices, the Galinette does not offer a service comparable to a star restaurant, it is not even close to it.
I’m a foodie, visiting Michelin star and other highly rated restaurants regularly, and I was bitterly disappointed.
In a Michelin star restaurant I expect extraordinary good food, prompt and attentive service, delightful surprise dishes and a nice setting. The Galinette doesn’t meet any of those expectations.
The food is tasty, but not at all refined. Arranging vegetables and fruit on a plate in a beautiful way, sprinkled with fresh herbs, DOES NOT MAKE THE FOOD  WORTH A MICHELIN STAR! Paying 72 euro for a menu including fish and meat, I didn’t expect to eat 80% vegetables with little distinct taste, rather many confused tastes.
The bread we were served first was definitely from the day before, hard as brick. No oil, butter or other starters were offered. Any local brassiere would at least have offered fresh olives or chips!
Instead of the goat cheese that was on the menu, we got a roquefort that was so strong that my eyes watered. I guess they were out of the goat cheese…
When it comes to service, it just gets worse. We waited at least 10 minutes for any service to arrive. There were only two waiters for the whole restaurant, serving around 35 guests. One of the them was doubling as a sommelier. He attended our table three times during the whole sitting. We were left sitting several times without any drinks or bread on our table. we ended up with drinking two glasses of wine during the whole evening, with one additional glass for dessert.
No one ever asked us if everything was to our liking. We got away with a bill of just over 100 euro per person, which was far too much for the experience we’ve had.
This being the only Michelin star restaurant in the area, I must say my trust in the Guide has been seriously diminished. SHAME!
