My stay at the Hotel du Palais in Biarritz was excellent in every way.  The staff were friendly, professional and accommodating, the hotel is a magnificent structure, and the location is a very convenient walk to shops and restaurants in town.  Breakfast in the rotunda each morning is an experience ... the panoramic beauty of the Atlantic Ocean right in front of you!  The spa is lovely and the spa services are comprehensive.  I could not be happier with my choice of this place to spend the Christmas holiday.

Excellent hotel nestled on a beautiful historic property! They have an amazing wellness concept with a beautiful pool area. Great service all across the board. The breakfast restaurant has one of the best view/setting I ever seen !

I find few very high end hotels worth the splurge, but Hotel Du Palais Biarritz is. Absolutely beautiful 1850s palace renovated to modern 5 star standards. Exceptional dining, views, pool, and sunset. Extremely dog friendly and staff genuinely kind and welcoming. Just a wonderful all around experience.

I’m writing this review after multiple attempts to resolve a serious issue with the refund of my deposit that I still haven't received.

Since my stay, I have been repeatedly contacting them via phone and messages, but the issue remains unresolved.

Despite my requests, they have only shown me brief tickets and confirmed that they checked with their finance team. However, they haven’t reached out to their bank as I have asked several times. My own bank has clearly informed me that the transaction failed and that the hotel needs to take action with their bank to complete the refund.

I’ve provided proof from my bank showing that the deposit was never received, yet the hotel insists that it’s my bank’s responsibility. This back-and-forth has left me feeling stuck and frustrated, as both parties seem unwilling to take the necessary steps to resolve it.

I really hope this review prompts the hotel to take my situation seriously, contact their bank, and help me recover my deposit. I’ve been patient, but this delay is financially challenging, and I don’t want other guests to go through the same experience.

Incredible hotel with excellent staff, stunning views. Former palace of Napoleon that has been restored and renovated with a 2 star Michelin restaurant. Highly recommend 👍🏻
