This is an extraordinary restaurant. They served a seven course gastronomic menu with each course being a surprise. The chef achieves a fusion of Japanese and French cuisine effortlessly. Each dish is finely tuned with the flavors and textures working perfectly together. It is a real treat which we enjoyed to celebrate our 33rd anniversary.

Also, we could not get a table but ate the bar. The people we sat with agreed with us that the bar experience was terrific because we met other diners and we got to interact a great deal with the staff who are truly excellent. The made the dining experience quite special.

We have eaten at fine gastronomic restaurants before but this is one of the few to which we would return.

Culinary of arts experience through a seven courses Omakase!  From start to finish, every plates was a work of arts.  There is no menu, however it included 3 appetizers, 2 second courses (fish and meat) ending with 2 desserts.  Our favorite were the scallops carpaccio, full of flavors and textures.  We upgraded with caviar.  The beef Wagyu which was upgraded was perfectly rare, tender and soft.  We sat upstairs in the dining room but they do have counter seatings on the first floor with the kitchen set in the back.  Service was attentive.

The best food I've ever had..
We had the tasting menu, I've never done one of these where every course was my favourite, there's always some plates that don't do it, not here.

Rated for fine dining. The food is absolutely beautiful, as you see in the photos. Service impeccable.  The style is  french japanese fusion. We came expecting more japanese influence, but the french ingredients are predominant, with japanese touches. Many of the dishes were really splendid, but we would have preferred more japanese influence--such as a sashimi main course. Wine list is excellent.

Overall, recommended for a unique experience.

I had the most incredible Japanese dining experience at Akabeko in Paris! The food was absolutely exquisite, with every dish bursting with authentic flavors and beautifully presented. The service was top-notch—attentive, warm, and genuinely welcoming. From the moment I walked in, the staff made me feel at home, ensuring every detail was perfect. Whether you’re a fan of sushi, ramen, or other Japanese delicacies, Akabeko is a must-visit. Truly a gem in Paris—I’ll definitely be back!
