Exceptional stay in the Latin Quartier. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. I was able to secure time slots easily for the pool and steam room, felt like a private and relaxing experience. Thank you Marina and Jeremy for your professionalism and great service. I will stay here again when I visit Paris.

Very nice concept based hotel. From the shoes of the staff to the personalized slippers with the logo of the hotel. Someone really thought about this. Excellent presentation and quality of the breakfast. Nice ambiance. Very friendly staff. We had problems with the softness of the mattress, but that is of course personal. Definitely worth 4 stars.

Modern and chic hotel in the 5th district of Paris. It’s a calm and safe area. Easy to get to Luxembourg garden and other landmarks.
The staff were super friendly to us.

The room is nice and spacious. Great variety of breakfast options. Very delicious.
And they also have a spa with steam room — it’s such a pleasure to end the day there.

As a frequent traveler (and former resident) familiar with Paris, I chose Hotel Pilgrim for its stylish design, newly built facilities, and location in the 5th away from the more tourist-heavy areas. Unfortunately, despite its promising look, my stay was disappointing.

First, my initial room's air conditioning didn’t work, and neither did the fan. Opening the ground-floor window led to bugs entering, as other reviewers have mentioned. I was moved to another room late in the evening, only to find the AC there was also non-functional. The room faced a brightly lit street and construction noise, with work starting as early as 7:30 a.m., far earlier than the hotel claims.

The upholstered headboard in my second room emitted foul body odor. The hotel’s attempt to address this by spraying a cleaner only masked the smell temporarily, and it returned the next day. Although I didn’t encounter bed bugs, the unsanitary conditions of the headboard were unsettling.

Throughout my 3 night stay, I raised these issues with multiple front desk staff. Unfortunately, there seemed to be no communication among them, and my concerns were dismissed or poorly addressed each time. That said, the staff was friendly and helpful in all other matters outside of these room-specific issues, which I appreciated.

At checkout, the manager was defensive and unhelpful, attempting to justify the issues as “miscommunication” rather than acknowledging the lack of support and experience among the staff. I expected some compensation given the ongoing issues, but my complaints were ultimately disregarded.

The hotel has some perks—a nice pool, rooftop, and a good work space—but these do not make up for the lack of basic room functionality, cleanliness, and genuine customer service. It's frustrating to see a new hotel cutting corners, particularly with the one-setting-per-floor HVAC system, which feels like cost-saving at the expense of guest comfort.

While Hotel Pilgrim has potential, I would not choose to stay here again. Future travelers should be aware of these issues, as I left feeling more drained than rested.

Rooms were very nice, clean.  Comfortable beds, nice styling.  Excellent location 1.5 blocks from the river and near Notre Dame and subways, great free breakfast.  Only downside is the rooms are very small.
