We are very disappointed with the 7 wine tasting we had at the hotel's bar. Two Champagne (if I come to Burgundy I would like to taste Burgundy wines, not Champagne) and other 5 wines, not even a Grand Cru. All for 95 euros. The "sommelier" brought us the water without telling us that it would be charged separately, 14 euros for two filtered waters, not even bottled. It is the first time that during the tasting we have been asked to pay for the water!
The wine presentation given by the sommelier was very sparse and superficial, as almost all the wines were described with the same characteristics. Moreover he combined the end of a bottle with a new one. Too bad, we had high expectations of this winery, but we were disappointed.

It is THE place to stay in or near Puligny-Montrachet. And with Michelin-recommended fine dining (4 or 6 course tasting menu with impeccably matched wines), bicycles to burn off the excess consumption and a lovely bar to finish an evening, what more could one ask for?

I came for dinner - the 7 course tasting menu was very hit and miss. Odd food combos like red cabbage and sorbet coupled with slower than average service leads to a forgettable experience.

It is rare in today's world to find establishments that combine true excellence and a human touch. Thanks in great part to a brilliant core team we were treated to a flawless stay in a spacious, comfortable and elegant room.
Olivier Leflaive is a family business, so every room is named after a family member. In our case, its namesake even contributed to the decoration, which blended style and originality.
The same "je ne sais quoi" accompanied us throughout a sumptuous dinner choreographed, a Maitre d' who blended a consummate professionalism and a passion for her work and the family's approach to its business.
Between courses, we delved deeper and deeper into the intricacies of Burgundian wine with the Klima's sommelier, who regaled us to an expertly designed vertical spanning multiple appellations and climates.
(Note to wine aficionados: In their characteristic generosity, the Leflaive make a couple of Grand crus available to guest by the glass!)

Great location. Very clean large rooms. Excellent food and wines! Staff is very helpful and professional.
