Reservations are required for this place as it seems that this place does draw a crowd for the food and ambience.
Once I step into the main door, you are greeted by the kitchen right in front of you. The menu is extensive, with more than 10 starters and even more entrees and classics. Since my visit was early, I couldn’t savour the majority of the menu but the escargot and grilled octopus was pretty good. The risotto and linguine alla vongole tasted good, however leaned on the salty spectrum.
I did love the apple pie which came in a light pastry and burnt caramelised apples which had this bitter aftertaste that went really well with the caramel and ice cream.
Overall a good dining experience.

I had higher expectations, but I found the food to be neither spectacular nor exceptionally well executed. For the price, I believe I could find better value elsewhere. Personally, I’m wary of restaurants with extensive menus; I prefer selection of few dishes made to perfection. The only thing I truly loved was their crème brûlée. That said, the atmosphere was beautiful, and the service was excellent.

Bardot fully deserves its Michelin 2024 status. The setting is charming, calm, and in easy walking distance to the piers and main sightseeing areas. Our meal here highlighted the local fish, but the profiteroles with comte stole the show. We enjoyed the dishes and the excellent service throughout, and we would eagerly return when in Helsinki again.

Bardot was a cozy and warm-hearted dinner in a French style by candlelight.

The lobster pasta was excellent—perfectly spicy and well-seasoned. For dessert, I chose a classic crème brûlée, topped with cherries that nicely balanced the sweetness. The main course pasta was not huge but suited well for late-night dinner, I would add a starter if I was very hungry.

I warmly recommend it to everyone who loves French cuisine. The menu had plenty of options, and everyone’s dishes looked great and will definitely be back to try some more dishes.

If you like French kitchen you should consider visiting this restaurant. I had a brunch (last year) and a dinner here (last week). The restaurant had good French dishes and the appearance of the dishes is attractive. They agreed to modify the dish to my taste (sauce on side in salad) and they actually brought even the chicken sauce separately, in which I was very pleased.
