Great service staff at the restuarant Kekale! The food at both Ahku restuarant and Kekale was so good too. The rooms were clean, spacious and i had a great balcony view from mine:)

Excellent location. Professional and friendly staff. Impeccable housekeeping. Quiet and relaxing atmosphere. Stylish rooms with plenty of space and storage (we stayed in the Suite, so can't tell for other room types). A sauna in the room! And kudos for the choice of music in the lobby. Also, unlimited and free access to the Water World. Premium (and it really is) breakfast. Expensive? Yes, but absolutely worth every penny.

In truth - we found the hotel very disappointing!
The location is good, though there are better options right in the village, but it is close and a short walk to everything you need.
The room is quite basic and very cold! I was shocked that for the price they charge, there is no underfloor heating, in the bathroom at least. The bathroom was freezing!
And not clean! I found hair on the floor and under the toilet, hair that was not mine and definitely not my husband's (as he's bald), and there were some areas in the bathroom floor that you could just see no one ever cleaned there. There is no room to place the shower gel/shampoo, you have to reach the sink for it or to put them on the floor, and there's nowhere to hang your towel, when stepping out of the shower. Also, the shower gel bottles are tiny (we asked for extra in reception).
The room is very cold (despite turning the heat thermostat to full), you have to stay under the covers to keep warm, while you are in the room. Not a great feeling, when it's -20c outside.
The beds are good quality and comfortable. Pillows were OK too, though personally I prefer them a bit firmer.
There is no phone in the room to call reception, so every little thing you need, you have to get dressed and go downstairs. Super annoying and again, outrageous for this price.
There were tea bags in the room, but no kettle (they brought one, after we asked in reception).
The TV was super old, the channels are only local and in Finnish. You can login to Netflix or other providers, if you have an account, but the remote control barely works and for every action you want, you have to press at least 10 times, as the TV barely reacts to the remote (when we asked for the batteries to be changed we were told 'that's just how it is in all the rooms, sorry about that').
Also, Netflix kept disconnecting and each time we had to login again - not such an easy task with a remote that barely functions. Again, super annoying and ridiculous.
The breakfast is below mediocre, we tried it once and it was enough for us to not try again. The dining area is also really cold, you have to sit with your winter coat on, otherwise it's freezing. Ridiculous.
One morning when we left the room, we asked housekeeping on our floor for extra towels, as they don't get dry in the freezing bathroom. When we returned, not only did they not leave extra towels, they also took the ones we used and didn't replace them. So again, you have to get dressed and go downstairs to reception, ask for towels and extra towels and then wait in the room until they arrive.
I would not recommend this hotel. For us it was a real disappointment and we were just left with a feeling that we threw a lot of money on something that really isn't worth it, as this hotel has no justification for the price they charge. Do yourself a favor and just book someplace else, as Levi is a really lovely place to visit, just a shame our accommodation was so expensive and disappointing.

Memorable hotel, probably qualifies for 5 star due to location at an excellent ski area in Finnish lapland: decent downhill, exciting X-country trails, snowmobiling, fat tire e-biking, kick sledding etc. Resort ski town has it all.
The interior design is a modern architectural masterpiece. Great hall at check in beautifully decorated with Finnish paintings and sculpture. Unfortunately the lighted plastic sign at check in, with queue numbers, totally detracted from the full wall wood sculpture, making the area seem like a place to order Burger King!
The hallways to the rooms had canted walls alternately, which nicely resolved the usual stale tunnel feel of every other hotel I have encountered. Discreet security lights in the floor. Room beautifully appointed with hugely comfortable king bed.
Bathrooms had totally upscale design, modest room but clean.
Interestingly,, nowhere to place the soap in the shower other than the floor.
The casual and evening dining restaurants were outstanding in all respects. Wine list was meager, with very limited cocktails (they had no bitters this night).
There is a great waterpark for children (and bad weather), and a full service spa and wellness center. I had ample Zen moments walking on and around frozen lake Immel, with the promise of aurora borealis.

I felt it was overpriced. The water world is a joke. You have to fight for space in room temperature “hot tubs”, lots of screaming kids, slippery floors, and the entrance is in the lobby of a burger king across the parking lot. Do not think of this as a spa hotel. Rooms reminded me of an airport hotel. When I go back to Levi I will stay in the village.
