This was an awesome experience for us! We were seated by a window, so we had a fabulous view of the river and town. Our waiter was very polite and we were able to joke around with him, which was great. We both enjoyed the food (we had the schnitzel). The potato salad that came with the schnitzel was AMAZING and I may have eaten too much! Overall, I would 100% recommend this restaurant.

Very cozy and elegant place at riverside. Nice view, comfy chairs and decent interior within a boat. The staff took care of us with smiles and professionalism. Willingly explained what's in drinks or food, and made recommendations. The food itself was amazing! Big portions, prepared within 10 minutes. We enjoyed every bite :)

I recently dined at Restaurant Motto am Fluss and was charmed by the breathtaking view of the Danube, which adds a magical touch to the dining experience. The setting is truly picturesque and perfect for a memorable meal.

The food, while good, didn’t quite match the high prices. It was well-prepared but lacked the special qualities that would justify the premium cost. Despite this, the service was excellent; the staff were attentive and ensured a pleasant experience.

One downside was the lack of fans or air conditioning, which made the atmosphere quite uncomfortable due to the heat.

I recently visited this restaurant for breakfast, with high hopes after making a reservation four months in advance. Unfortunately, the experience started on the wrong foot. We were not seated for 10 minutes past our arrival, with no explanation from the staff.

When we were finally seated, we were given the worst table in the restaurant — far away from  the beautiful view of the reviver that we were looking forward to. Instead, we were tucked into a dark corner that felt completely disconnected from the vibrant atmosphere of the dining area. For a reservation made so far in advance, this was extremely disappointing.

However, the food did not disappoint. The French toast was perfectly golden, with a crispy exterior and a soft, fluffy inside, topped with peach and just the right amount of syrup. The scrambled eggs were cooked to perfection — light, creamy, and full of flavor. Every bite was delicious, and the quality of the ingredients was evident.

Overall, while the food was fantastic and made the visit worthwhile, the delay and poor seating were a letdown. I would come back for the French toast and scrambled eggs, but only if I could be guaranteed a table with a view that matches the quality of the food.

Motto am Fluss was one of the better restaurants I tried while in Vienna. The food was remarkable in a way I found unexpected. The batter on the chicken had a fantastic texture on par with something like tempura and the scallops and risotto were cooked to perfection. The atmosphere is quaint with a nice view of the canal, not stunning per se, but certainly unique, and the prices were all quite affordable. I couldn’t recommend stopping here for a meal more if visiting Vienna.
