Overall the food was good, I just didn’t love it. The best part were probably the spring rolls and the pho, the salad was just ok and the duck breast, despite tasting good it was quite though and chewy. I would recommend it if you are tired of traditional Vietnamese flavours and want to have some duck instead of beef or pork. The atmosphere was a bit empty, walls were empty, some rooms had no windows. Service was attentive.

We got a nice dinner experience here. We ordered duck liver for stater, a salad and grilled duck on the table for two, plus 1 bottle of Hanoi beer. The duck liver was really good with two slices of sandwich bread and some pickles. I forgot to take a picture of the dish.
The grilled duck had a nice flavor of coconut which we wished to be a bit stronger. The amount was a bit too much for us, maybe a portion for one would be better. The staff gave us clear instructions on how to enjoy the grilled duck with rice noodles and soy sauce. There were slices of hot chilies in the sauce and with the ducks which gave a nice taste, not too hot or spicy.
At the end of the meal, they gave us 2 slices of watermelon complimentary.
They seem to be busy but almost no waiting time for any guests while we were there.

For duck lovers, the Michelin quality duck from Don Duck Old Quarters restaurant is one of the best ducks that will grace your lips.

Service is warm and friendly and you will be treated outside the restaurant before you even enter. You're seated promptly and presented with an enticing menu.

From the starters that include duck spring rolls and duck noodle soup, don't let the simple titles deceive you. The flavours are well balanced, the complementing sauce blends well with the rice vermicelli noodles, basil and coriander and the spring rolls.

Move onto the mains, and the braised duck with galangal hits home with punchy flavours and tender duck pieces.  Consumed with the steam rice and it is a dish made in heaven.

The grill duck on the table is candy for all the senses. The fragrance and aroma is warming you to want to taste but you'll have to be patient and watch the wait staff prepare the pan grill in front of you. The taste is amazing and beyond words.

Half a roast duck or the duck steak breast? It's all very tender with the meat falling off the bone and full of flavour.

The staff are very helpful and keen to assist and show you the recommended dishes and how to enhance the dishes and show you the way to eat them.

There is a complementary piece of fruit to end you meal also.

A must try Duck Michelin Restaurant for Duck lover in Hanoi! The service was outstanding, our waiter speak well English. The duck salad, duck confit salad, breast steak and roast duck is a must-try item! It was incredibly tender, with a distinct flavor, I can say that’s the best duck meal I ever ate! The presentation was beautiful, enhancing the overall experience. I highly recommend for duck liver.

We had the duck liver and the duck spring rolls for starters and then we shared the duck breast for our main course.

The duck liver terrine was really nice, but I think it can even be better with a different type of bread.

The duck spring rolls were also nice. It's not spectacular so I probably wouldn't order it again if I were to come back here.

The showstopper would be the duck breast.  It was so juicy, and so perfectly cooked and seasoned that we immediately decided it's worth coming back to this restaurant just for this duck dish. The veggies were nice and al dente, and the gravy with the mashed potato goes so well as a side dish.

Definitely recommend trying this place especially for the duck breast. They also recommended their roast duck but we didn't get to try since there's only two of us eating.

The servers were nice and friendly, and they gave us some sliced watermelon after our meal.

The only downside is that it could get a bit noisy when the diners are loud and chatty because the restaurant is quite small and narrow. But overall, our experience here was still really good 👍😊
