First of all, I have to commend this place for its superb hospitality. The staff are very well trained, confident enough to chat up to guests and are highly attentive in refilling our water. The dishes were very well executed and fresh. I enjoyed the salmon particularly, it had a creamy flavour. The French owner was warm and gifted us a swirl of pistachio ice cream to end the meal. Overall, this place takes its mission of serving quality French food seriously, but at the same time casual as a bistrot is to swing its door open to anyone that can appreciate good food. It is worthy of being the talk of the town if you ask me.

Their oysters were incredibly fresh and flavorful—an absolute must-try. I also had the duck, which was perfectly cooked, tender, and rich in flavor. The service was attentive and made the experience even more enjoyable. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking to enjoy authentic French cuisine in a cozy setting!

I dined at La Fontaine for lunch and opted for the lunch set at VND 450.000 per person. For a casual dining establishment, the prices are quite reasonable. The food was satisfactory but it did not particularly blow me away.

1. Lyonnaise Salad: the croutons could have been crispier;
2. Flank Steak: well-prepared, tender and flavourful without the need for additional sauce;
3. French Fries: as expected from a French-owned restaurant, were delicious. Even when I was full, I could not resist nibbling on more;
4. Shallot Sauce: was not to my liking, as its pungency overpowered the other flavours.

La Fontaine is also renowned for its Escargot, which I have yet to try.

The ambience was pleasant, with a charming outdoor fountain that aptly reflects the restaurant's name.

However, the service was disappointing. While the staff appeared friendly, they frequently checked on our table during the meal multiple times. Their constant observation, staring at the tables, made us feel uncomfortable. Given the restaurant's relatively small size, the staff could have monitored the dining area from the counter, eliminating the need for such frequent rounds.

very disappointing experience i would say.
Firstly, there were a group of French people, they were so noisy and their kids kept running around the restaurant without shoes on and then stepped on the sofa.
they also left the used baby diaper (didn’t even packed) on the sofa.

It was my first time to try french food and it just disappointed me.. All food were oily and salty.. and the beef was too tough.
I don’t think it was because the cooking skills, but the quality of meat.
I was really regret that i have chosen this restaurant as my first experience of french food.

A cute and fancy bistro a little outside the city center. We enjoyed the ambiance, food and pleasing personality of the Owner. The ribeye steak with creamy spinach was delicious. Also try their Escargots! It was so fat and juicy! Tasted divine with the bread they served
