Service was exemplary… food presentation and taste also very high in scale.
Great wine selection…. Also had a calvados … which is my go to after dinner drink
Decor very good and restaurant as a whole very deserving of its Michelin recommendations
My only criticism would be it’s a little bit noisy…. And no alcohol free option apart from sparkling water….
…. And no coffee option…

One of the best meals I’ve ever had in Saigon. The taste was delicate & complex. We did a la carte & we were really happy with the food & wines.
The lobsters were the stars, we both liked it very much. Oysters were really good, too. I wouldn’t rcm the Zen wine as we both find it pretty over-priced. My bf liked the duck but it was just okay for me. The mango yogurt was so so, too.

Esta is absolutely amazing. We would not have known about this place if the staff manager, Mr. Trańg, did not approach us way before their opening hours to share about their restaurant and philosophy. The atmosphere is very cozy, and it is great to be able to see the fire at work, cooking all the delicious dishes. The food is brilliant, and kudos to Chef Long Cuong in putting together simple ingredients perfectly to create complex and intricate flavours seamlessly. The A4 wagyu is a must-try, it absolutely melts in your mouth! We also really loved the pork jowl. This is one of the best place for wine pairings. Mr. Trańg was also very nice to introduce to us what the Karaya Gum is. We really loved that they went out of their way to serve us. Well done to the service team.

Enjoyed our dining experience. Food was tasty and sophisticated. Lots of interesting flavors. I liked the cozy dining and atmosphere. Nice date night spot too.

First time here.  Atmosphere very welcoming, high end, servers very attentive.
Menu such fine print, needed a magnifying glass 😊
Service: aside from some struggles with English, servers were very polite and attentive, poured wine in time and were present.
Menu and food: I have to say I expected more.  Presentation was nice, not over the top, but built expectations of something very special on the palate.  The food was good but not spectacular.  Everything was a “safe choice” and really lacked that wow factor that the menu and the two Michelin recommendations were suggesting.
Wine: the list of wines was good, but I really struggle when the cheapest bottle starts at 3x markup of the retail price.  Majority of wine was starting at over 2m VND and went up from there, for some bottles that were just not justifiably priced.  I would also say the local sommelier was very pleasant, knew her wines, but was trained to upsell… suggesting wines that were just too expensive for what they were.  Glasses were nicely matched to the wine, which is a nice detail.  Luckily we know wine and were able to pick right.

A few other things: music was a bit too loud and choice was a bit strange for the atmosphere the restaurant was for.  No coffee (espresso) to have after dinner??  First time I experienced this in a high end restaurant in HCM.  A Nespresso machine is $100 😊

I would say overall it is about 30% overpriced on food and wine for it to be at the right balance of quality and price.
