Best food I have eaten in a while. Best restaurant I will likely eat in Bodrum. The salad in one of the pictures is made 100% like how my mum or grandma makes it and they’re Ottoman Turkish Iraqi’s. The view is incredible, you sit and smell jasmine flowers. The atmosphere is very chilled and beautiful, you hear birds chirping. The service is excellent and staff are super friendly. We had vegetarian a la carte which was a safe option for my mother who is not very adventurous with sea food. The vegetables were soaked in the craziest dressing ever. The olive oil they use - omg. They have a clementine drink which leaves a floral aftermath taste. We asked about few dishes and it was all local produce and you can identify from the taste and quality. The portion size was perfect as it is a la carte, we left and felt full to a healthy level. The price for what we ate is average for a Michelin awarded restaurant. Your trip to Bodrum does not count if you do not go to this restaurant.

The inflation crises in Turkey has got out of hand. I’m a Brit who lived for seven years in London as a corporate M&A lawyer used to dining out and Istanbul for the last three but this restaurant is the most expensive and underwhelming I have eaten at in the last decade.

The price for three people (one of them pregnant and not eating) came to 15,000 lira. That’s $500. The measures on the tasting wine selection are pathetic at most a ‘thimble’ and certainly not full glasses. The aim seems to be to get you to order even more overpriced drinks rather than anything approaching a wine pairing with food. For two people, it’s £100 for what was pretty run of the mill plonk. If you do go do yourself a favour and order a bottle. That way you might at least be a little tipsy by the time the astronomical bill arrives.

The food, again, nothing at all special and the people posting positive reviews have never eaten in London, New York or Tokyo. The salad looked like something a nine year old would make. The fish soup, pleasant but distinctly under seasoned. The ‘paella’ came in a dish the size of a crème brûlée - for three people.

The price point now is 1/2 Michelin star but everything about the place is a neighbourhood eatery in an average part of London - apart from the prices which, given the quality, would make the Dorchester blush.

If you are coming on holiday to Bodrum in 2024 and want to drop this amount of money at this restaurant you either have no taste or too much money or both.

If like me you live in Turkey then I’m sure in two months they will double the prices again and you’ll pay $1000 usd for a really average meal. Again, so many good restaurants in Bodrum to pick from this is just an old fashioned stitch up/tourist trap.

The pregnant member of our party was particularly aghast that despite not having any wine, any food or anything beyond sparkling water at £13 a bottle, it still cost £110 for her ‘dinner’.

Anyway, if you read this review and still go then I feel very sorry for you. There are tons of better restaurants in Bodrum which serve better food for a fraction of the price. I rarely post reviews but frankly this place overcame my usual sang froid.

The place’s view is very nice overlooking the sea, the food was okay but the portions were tiny and the price was really expensive.. there were some things that I didn’t like and couldn’t eat but their Parmesan mussels are so good to be honest!

Lovely atmosphere and ok service (kind but not as attentive towards the end of the dinner). However, I think the portions are way too tiny for the price paid.
I enjoy an occasional dinner at Michelin starred or recommended restaurants, but I never quite felt that there has been a main course here and sharing one creme caramel at the end felt quite sad as the final bill was over 200 euros. Sorry, I see why it is popular as the food is actually of good quality, but perhaps not worth it

Let’s start with why I am writing this review.. I am a restaurant manager from London and my partner she is a chef in one of the hottest restaurants I Mayfair. After reading some of the let’s say disconcerting reviews I think they are very unjustified. Orfoz is a local restaurant serving up local produce ! You can’t beat it. Yes the food comes out fast, but who wants slow service ?
We decided to take the wine pairing and it was perfect, well balanced Turkish wine perfectly matched with the fresh seafood. To be honest this restaurant is the only place we could fine that was doing something different and unique. Water topped up, wine and food explained, fresh plates, friendly staff, the list goes on…

People who leave this restaurant a bad review do not understand the industry, they do not realise we’re they are, this is Bodrum not Paris or London.

Amazing experience ! Definitely worth the money.
