This is the third establishment I have visited that the reviews rave about the food.
This is the first place the reviews are accurate.

I’ve not written a Thailand restaurant review until now, and I hesitated to compare my experiences in American dining to Thailand’s  restaurant scene. However, this restaurant has set a new standard, leaving no room for excuses from others offering subpar experiences.

This is true fine dining. Unlike many establishments in Thailand (wish me luck with those reviews), I never once felt shortchanged. The quality of both service and cuisine was well worth every baht.

The amuse bouche was a delightful surprise—refreshing and creative. For once, I wasn’t served the typical bread and butter, and I appreciated that. The crab cakes were impeccably fresh, with none of the fishy taste or odor that often plagues even high-end restaurants. The prawns were perfectly cooked and paired beautifully with a vibrant avocado salsa. The filet was prepared exactly to my requested doneness, and the lamb chops—without question—were the best I ever tried.  My guest picked at the bones just to ensure not a single morsel of meat was left behind.

The service was impeccable. A well-coordinated team attended to my table with professionalism and efficiency. Not once did I need to ask for a refill, an extra utensil, or wonder where my server went. The hostess, in particular, stood out. Her vibrant energy was infectious, and she treated every guest like a valued patron. Whoever hired her truly hit the jackpot. Not only did she understand the assignment— she wrote the book. Her warmth and genuine hospitality set the tone for the entire experience. It’s a stark reminder that the demeanor of front-of-house staff can make or break an establishment. Think about the last time you hesitated to visit somewhere because the hosts were unfriendly, inattentive, or made you feel like an inconvenience. In this case, that was never a concern.

Overall, this restaurant sets the standard for what true fine dining should be: outstanding cuisine, flawless service, and a front-of-house team that elevates the entire guest experience. The chef truly deserves recognition for their exceptional execution of each dish. From the precise cooking of the proteins to the thoughtfully crafted flavors, every plate was a testament to culinary mastery. Hats off to the kitchen for delivering an unforgettable dining experience.

Last night, another wonderful dinner experience. Wonderful selection of liquors and Gin, and of course fine wine. The ambience is wonderful for one person two person sit inside sit outside I bring in a table of 7. The staff attentive extremely attentive but not annoying
English speaking and ever request we made prepared with a smile. The owner, Mr. Blu was kind enough to prepare my gin martini with blue cheese stuffed olives, a Special Request. My crab legs last night prepare perfectly chilled with Lemon Wedged, the crab cake filled with chunks of fresh crab, and grilled to perfection. My dining companions also impressed with their selection of steaks, Beef Wellington, and the watermelon salad can Caesar salads just magnificent. Needless to say, highly recommend.

I have been to Cafe des Amis several times and always return. Excellent service and very delicious food. The dinner presentation and plating are so beautiful it's like eating works of art. Top quality chefs that truly know what they are doing in the kitchen, reasonable prices, large portions, attentive staff, friendly and courteous.

Blu made sure everything was just right for two separate occasions, a birthday with a group of friends, and also a romantic dinner for two. They stayed in contact with me via WhatsApp to make sure all was in order. The manager, the hostess, and staff are the best. The bartender even made my signature drink to perfection, which they added to their cocktail menu.

If you don't try Cafe des Amis, you are depriving yourself of an excellent dining experience

It’s wonderful everything I am impressed with everything in the shop. I will come back again and again. The receptionist is nice and excellent in every process of service. Ms. Natty is fun to talk to and gives more knowledge about the shop. I am most impressed to find a dream restaurant.

I’d like to recommend a great Western restaurant near Phra Tamnak, Pattaya.

When I walked in, I got a warm and friendly welcome from Khun Nida and Khun Natty. I ordered white wine with fresh Fine de Claire oysters from France—amazing stuff! The duck salad was fantastic, and the mushroom soup was rich and savory like nothing I’ve ever had before. The star of the meal was the Beef Wellington. The meat was super tender and not gamey at all. I ordered one portion, and the chef kindly split it into two plates for us—such a nice touch. We finished off with some delicious pistachio ice cream and a refreshing gin and tonic. If you love gin, this place is a must-visit. Khun Sean and Khun Vee have a cool selection of unique gins and gave great recommendations. Plus, the gin was complimentary, which was a nice surprise!

I’m definitely coming back to this restaurant. For the price, it was totally worth it and was a perfect end to my Pattaya trip.
