Food is great, no doubts about the quality. On average dishes had delicate flavors and the environment is really nice and relaxing. Very appreciated the possibility to see the kitchen working. English is not an issue.
The only reason why I gave 4 stars is that I felt it was a bit pricey compared to other experiences in similar restaurants.

There were highlights throughout the meal, but overall it just didn’t meet our expectations for a Michelin Guide restaurant.

First the highlights. The Hanwoo and Galbitang were delicious. The giant Korean oyster was bursting with all the right flavors and we don’t even like oysters. The scallops were also very good. However, with the lowlights below, one almost wonders if these dishes were only so good because the quality of the ingredients overcame any misses on prep.

Now the lowlights. Our concierge booked the restaurant for us last minute, compensating for our lack of planning, for which we are very grateful. We really wanted to love it, but some of the food was too bland, e.g. the sesame jello, the presentation was inconsistent, e.g. the veggies dish was just a blob of brown, and there were misses on service, e.g. no one poured water for us after we finished the first glass. There were more examples, which I won’t list.

We expect better with Michelin.

The dishes were exceptionally delicious and surpassed my expectations. However, the service was disappointing. We were not provided with water refills, the waiter handled our utensils with bare hands, and there was an incident where a plate was accidentally broken. Additionally, the timing of dish delivery was inconsistent, and during dessert, the waiter brought our jackets and offered to call a taxi, even though we hadn't finished dessert yet. This made us feel rushed, especially considering we were the last guests in the restaurant.
Considering the high prices, I expected the service to match the quality of the food. It's disheartening that such a remarkable culinary experience was overshadowed by subpar service.

Excellent meal and wine list. The flavors were sublime.
