I recently had dinner here with my friends and we really ate our hearts out. The service was excellent from the beginning, quick, attentive, and thoughtful. Our server kindly asked if we would like time between courses to rest our stomachs, as we had ordered quite a lot. My favorite dish was the Sago Char, I had never tried savory sago before, and the pairing with prawn crackers was absolutely delightful. The beef tartare came with a bitter sauce that wasn’t entirely to my liking, but it complemented the dish well and paired nicely with the slightly sweet bun. The combination of ingredients was creative and unique, offering flavors you won’t easily find elsewhere, a true standout feature of this place.

Love the design of this restaurant! Great ambiance, style and music.

They were really good though because all the starters come in 2, and because I’m a solo diner they offered half portions for half price so I could try more dishes! I think that’s actually an amazing idea’s.

This restaurant is a lot more expensive than most things you find in Malaysia, so your expectations are pretty high ! The staff was nice enough but nothing memorable.

The food was great, and I got to try lots of different things! I thought everything other than the steak tarte bao!
The oyster was great. The chicken wings were nice but average? The prawn toast was tasty. The fried gobi was nice but nothing special. Again the leeks were nice too. The only thing I really loved is the beef tartare bao bun!!

The dishes are perfect for double sharing. Bursting with strong, complex Asian flavours! Might be overwhelming for those unfamiliar Asian cuisine, but for enthusiasts it is an absolute treat. Always feel free to ask suggestions, the crew are great with it! Do try their local beer too!

Food is not bad, but not up to my expectation. Best is the pork chop but it’s too salty. The rice is mushy. Ordered too many bread dishes for our set. The server should recommend us the best combination for the set.
Music a bit too loud. We can’t hear what the server’s introduction to the dishes.
End up paying slightly more for the set than if we were to order separately.

Our family of five came to Penang and decided to try this Michelin-recommended fine dining restaurant.

We ordered a set menu for two (400 MYR) and also ordered a few additional dishes separately.
One thing worth praising is the presentation of the food, which was well done, and each dish was briefly introduced by the staff as it was served.

The fried rice and desserts are the most recommended, while we found the other dishes to be average, though the presentation was excellent.

Personally, I think this restaurant is more suitable for couples, as the tables are long and arranged in a row, making it difficult to have a conversation. I was seated near the sound system, with music constantly playing in my left ear, making it very hard for me to hear my family, and it felt very noisy.

Besides, I also suggest that since they have an open kitchen, they could face the customers and prepare the food in front of them, instead of turning their backs and doing it quietly.
