I had to come and try Japan's fluffy pancakes, but I was terribly disappointed with the place.  Each person is required to order at least one dish and drink.  The wait was exhausting and tiring, a warm recommendation - don't come hungry.  The food was mediocre or below, not worth the wait.  We ordered a  classic fluffy pancake, which was a bit wasted since it was tasteless, just a lump of dough.  In addition, we ordered a salad of leaves and salmon in a bowl made of dough, it came with only 4 pieces of salmon. For some reason I only got half a glass of orange juice compared to my friend who ordered ginger ale and got a full glass.  In conclusion, not a place to spend a week, but only to mark a check-in that you were here. And in my opinion there is no value for the price at all.

Food was beautiful and tasty, but they served my boyfriends food a good 10+ minutes before mine (it was just us two dining). He wanted to wait and eat together like a couple, so we were a bit agitated the gap was so long, especially when I ordered a more simple dish (Japanese pancakes) and his was a full plate of food (eggs, meat, french toast, fries).

Original Pancake House in Shinjuku offers a cozy atmosphere for breakfast, but the pancakes, while visually appealing in photos, didn’t quite meet my expectations in person. The fluffy buttermilk pancakes looked enticing, but their taste fell a bit short. They were decent, but not as flavorful or impressive as anticipated. The menu does have a variety of options, and the staff is friendly and attentive, which adds to the overall experience. While it’s a nice spot to enjoy breakfast, be prepared for pancakes that may not live up to the stunning images you see online.

The place has a nice atmosphere with plenty of seating. The menu also has a lot of options as well. You can order via QR code so it’s convenient.

Overall though food was ok. In particular the burger didn’t taste too good. The pancakes were fine though. If you come maybe only stick to pancakes as that is what they are known for.

Lots of flair and hype but fails to deliver. The regular pancakes are solid, 3/5, better than regular pancakes at IHOP but nothing too special. The fluffy pancakes were a disappointment. Not very fluffy and not very good. I’ve had much better fluffy pancakes both in Japan and outside of Japan and throughout East and Southeast Asia. For a place that bills itself how it does, I was pretty disappointed. The food is a show but taste isn’t there.

Service was also nonexistent. My party was rushed along to sit, eat, and get out, even though the restaurant was mostly empty. The servers were standing about without much to do but when I asked for water, they pointed at the pitcher of water and told me to get it myself. I wasn’t expecting much for service, since I know a lot of places are fast dining, but this was a pretty new low.
