My husband and I stayed at the Imperial Hotel Tokyo for a week last October, the first of our three-week trip to Japan. From the moment we stepped out of our cab from the airport we experienced exceptional service from their truly welcoming staff. Our room was spacious, with a fabulous view and luxurious amenities. We very much hope to return for another stay some day!

I had a wonderful stay at the Imperial Hotel Tokyo. The room was incredibly comfortable, and the staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive. Every request was met with professionalism and care, truly going above and beyond to ensure a pleasant experience. The Japanese breakfast at Nandaman was an absolute delight — a perfect start to the day. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone seeking exceptional hospitality and comfort in Tokyo.

This grand dame of a hotel was in a past iteration designed by the American Frank Lloyd Wright - though today only some furnishings and an original wall in the tucked-away bar attest to its past life. Now, the Japanese Modernist architecture is pure understated elegance. The staff are perfect. The rooms are quiet, comfortable and clean. Appointments are thoughtful. The location is convenient to many attractions, shopping (obviously), subway and myriad dining options.

Note that breakfast enthusiasts will be interested to learn that the hotel’s breakfast viking is the oldest in Japan. It’s certainly worth experiencing even for casual breakfast enjoyers.

The hotel bar is as classic a Tokyo bar as can be. Sitting down is like stepping into a time capsule. It’s a magical place for a quiet conversation.

I stayed twice and will return again.

I would like to not stay anywhere else but here for my next visit to Tokyo. There is nothing I can fault on this place and is 100% worth every yen.

While the rooms and interior is clearly dated but why fix something that isn’t broken? There’s about a hundred more hotels that are newer but will never offer this level of superior service. The items and facilities in the room worked just fine! However if you’re a traveller look for the modern hotel vibes then I’d have this one a miss.

Want to feel like you're royalty? This place will treat you like you are. All the staff were super kind and courteous, spoke English extremely well and tended to our every need!

I loved my vacation there because the people that worked there were very very nice and they could help us on whatever we wanted, especially help in our rooms. I also like this hotel because one person there could speak English and he helped us a lot on question about our rooms and questions about the area near that hotel. One thing I like about this place is that it is very pretty. There are chandeliers and those are really pretty. Also, they have a lot of rooms. I recommend going there.
