Visited on a rainy October night and ended up trying about 18 drinks. I’m not a firm believer of 50 Best lists, but this really must be one of the best bars in the world. The cocktail menu is superb: creative and inspired at the same time, with flawless execution. The Tom Yum cocktail has quickly become one of my favorite ever drinks: it encapsulates the essence of the craft as well as capturing the main flavors of Thai cuisine.

There is a superb speakeasy bar on the basement (which overall I rate higher than the main one on the ground floor). I just had to pay them a second visit on my last night in Tokyo and I had the most amazing time yet again. Though all the staff is very friendly and professional, special thanks to Adrien for making sure I was always properly accommodated and for guaranteeing everyone was having an excellent time.

As I said, this is now one of my favorite bars in the world, so do yourself a favor and pay them a visit or two. You won’t regret it. Also do try the truffled pop corn. It’s just perfection.

A Visit to Asia Best 50 Bar

What a coincidence to meet the guest bartender from Martiny's and tried the special menu.

Tea ceremony is quite strong but ended with coconut water, a sip of sweetness. The Seasonal Sour is a twist of Whisky Sour and I can taste the citrus fruits.

And I also want to try the signature so we ordered another round. The No. 1 Cup surprised us and it tastes really nice. A bit sparkling, a bit of sourness.

You need reservations to go downstairs but you’re welcomed to do walk-ins and grab drinks on the first floor. The downstairs has a completely different menu and selection of drinks than the upstairs. The upstairs had a drink called the golden guy which was pretty good. My favorite drink downstairs is the yuzu bath drop and lees in wax

This is solid bar. You'll need a reservation unless you arrive immediately as they open. Try getting an early reservation to sit at the bar.

The drinks are very good and do a good job of using Japan ingredients to improve their cocktails. Their dessert drinks really stand out along with their gin ones. Try at least three, each drink from a different page of their menu, to get a good idea of their style. You'll likely be seated in the basement which also has the restrooms.

Very impressive bar that lives up to its reputation (for once the Worlds Best/Asia’s Best actually finds a good place). Service was super warm and very speedy. Drinks made in front of you and take about 1 min after ordering. Their cocktails are very balanced, super flavours and very creative without being over the top. Will be back!
