Had a lunch reservation for the nigiri sushi course. The chef speaks English very well and as he served the sushi he explained the origin and characteristics of the fish/seafood which makes me appreciate the sushi more. They were fresh and delicious, also the price was very cheap for omakase so I opted for another two pieces (engawa and otoro) which was not included in the course. The additional two pieces of nigiri did cost more than I expected but overall the price was still very good.

I've visited this place for lunch with reservation.
Spotless service, good food and calm atmosphere.
Highly recommend this place and will visit again definitely.

Outstanding value for the Omakase lunch course here at 13,000 Yen. They don’t skimp on the offering unlike some places where a lot of premium ingredients are reduced on purpose

The current chef used to work in San Diego so his English quite good. He’s able to explain everything quite well adding to the overall feel.

To be fair, I find omakase in San Diego lacking so I was a bit apprehensive when he first told me 😂

Pleasantly surprising part was that the chef marinated or aged a lot of his fish. This is super important for me and distinguish a good sushi chef from the ordinary one.

Sushi Taira is also located in one of the most posh area of Tokyo so you can have a nice stroll after the meal.

Various choices of Sushi, fresh and delicious. The master chef is awesome and can communicate very well with customer in English. His choice of Omakase let me try the variety of fishes. I have tried the most delicious uni and oyster in my life, not to mention the fatty toro. Definitely a dining experience worth a visit, highly recommended.

Service was great and we were welcomed with kindness and respect. Every piece of sushi was amazing.
