It didn’t disappoint. Ordered a few dishes (prawns, minced pork paste, fried oyster and spinach) while waiting for the claypot rice (which took a while since it’s made to order). Dishes were  all very decent before the main dish(claypot rice). Had the chicken claypot which was superb. The rice was cooked just nice and the crispy rice was perfect and not overly burned. The sauce(secret recipe) has a nice balance and brought out the fragrance of the chicken claypot rice. The pork rib claypot was good too. Each pork rib is tender and flavourful. Food:
To be honest, this is very worth the super duper long waiting time. The soy sauce is good - fragrant but not just super duper salty kind. The rice is cooked oh so perfectly it was nice to bite on. The pot was still sizzling 5min on as I poured all the soy sauce around inside. I got the dual sausage claypot rice (HKD 95) and the ingredients were so tummy-fulfilling! The crusty rice at the sides and bottom can easily be scrapped, until at other eateries and other countries, where it feels like I am scrapping to clean the pot and get black scraps. No. Theirs is scrap with some bit of energy and the crusty bits comes out! Really nice. I did feel sleepy after the long wait, but when I left, I left with a happy tummy filled with quality food. So it is worth.

To manage time expectation:
I arrived around 7.45pm on a weekday night and took me 70min to get a seat, approximately another 60min to get my claypot rice. But the appetisers (I ordered salt-pepper tofu) came within 10min. I see that if you order hotpot, food comes way faster.

Staff:
They may look grumpy but no. I had good treatment from the staff. They did moved my seat once but it is alright cos my food wasn't here yet (they dont shift if food already served). They also apologised to my same table couple about shifting them over here, only cos the solo diner was gonna leave soon and they can have wider space once she is gone. Said it all with a smile.

Note:
There is a minimum spending of HKD 100 per pax. So it is about 1 claypot rice per person (or add ingredients if the claypot is below the min amount). Not very cheap, but really taste good. I didn't know is a Michelin Bib Gourmand shop. Better bring cash - cant remember if they take other payment modes.

It’s without question a legitimate spot to come. One of the top two places for claypot and I’d say it has the edge. The Eel Claypot is a thing of beauty, fall of the bone eel with crispy rice that leaves nothing in the bowl! The eggplant with salted meat was a real standout dish as well, the best stewed eggplant I’ve had in Hong Kong.

Queued for approximately an hour on a Friday night before we got a seat & we had to share a table with other people (which was fine). Service was pretty aggressive - they quickly shuffle you in & ask what you want to eat the minute you sit down. I get it because the clay pot rice does take a while to cook… probably over 40 minutes? We ordered other dishes & finished them all before our clay pot rices came. Overall very tasty & the bottom was super crispy.

So here or Sheung Hei? Both are great but I prefer Sheung Hei cos the rice isn’t as soft (personal preference) & the flavours are more up my valley. Sheung Hei is also much bigger

My hk friend brought me here for dinner and she queued for an hour before our turn 😧
The place is not big with probably about 10 tables. It’s noisy and staff was not very polite .. but well I’m here for the food anyway :)
The food is VERY SAVORY definitely up my alley!
And amazingly we 搭檯with two different groups of Singaporeans !!
