I recently visited a traditional pastry takeaway shop called "時代豆業" and tried their "光酥餅" and "芝麻糯米糍". Unfortunately, my experience was quite disappointing as I found that their "光酥餅" was already moldy.

Despite this, I still tried their "芝麻糯米糍". The texture and flavor of this pastry were good, with a chewy and flavorful glutinous rice cake and a rich sesame aroma. However, the issue with the moldy "光酥餅" had already impacted my overall impression of the shop.

In addition to the moldy pastry, I also noticed that the shop's environment and hygiene were not up to par. The shop had a somewhat dark and dingy appearance, and did not seem very clean, which raised concerns about the quality and hygiene of their products.

Overall, my impression of "時代豆業" was not very positive. While their "芝麻糯米糍" tasted good, the moldy pastry and hygiene issues inside the shop had already significantly impacted my experience. I hope they will take product quality and hygiene seriously in the future to earn the trust and support of customers.

Great little stall for Cantonese sweets. I like the red bean mochi and the white sugar cake 白糖糕. Located just in the strip behind Times Square and cheap for a quick sweet snack.

Miss this tiny shop selling traditional Cantonese sweets! Nothing fancy but great for budget tourists and big families. You can purchase from just one sweets.  It's good place to drop by here on your way back to office to get a piece of Cantonese desert after lunch.
I wonder if this shop is still owned by the same vivacious lady who had taken after her parents business more than 10 years ago. Hope to visit 香港 again this year!
